Entries close on 31 May and the 2024 Stanthorpe Art Prize exhibition will grace the newly refurbished Gallery from 7 September to 10 November.
An impressive $50,000 in prize money is on offer, celebrating excellence in various categories.
– Stanthorpe Art Prize 2024 Award: $16,000 (Awarded to the most outstanding artwork of the competition)
– Category Prizes: Six categories, each with a $4000 prize
– The ultimate winner will be selected from the category victors, receiving an additional $16,000 prize.

– $2000 Changeover Team Award
– $1500 Local Artist Award (for residents within 100 kilometres of Stanthorpe)

The panel of judges for the 2024 Stanthorpe Art Prize comprises renowned figures in the art world: Jessica Bridgfoot, Director of Bendigo Art Gallery and Michael Brennan, Gallery Director at Noosa Regional Gallery
The Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery stands firm in its decision to exclude artificially intelligence (AI)-created entries from the 2024 Stanthorpe Art Prize. This decision follows strong support from 80 percent of respondents who agreed with the ban on AI-generated artworks.
