Allora and District Days for Girls provides reusable feminine hygiene products through a worldwide organisation which supplies the kits (as they are known) to various countries undergoing hardships, such as tsunamis or typhoons as well as to refugee camps where there is a need to assist support the dignity of women and girls so they can attend schooling and continue working.
At the gathering on the 26 August, we packed another 60 kits. Then the fun began.
The refugee distribution was brought forward to August instead of October and so 360 kits were dispatched on 3 August. This was on extra to the Open360 Australian pack of 25 kits as our monthly 25 kit allocation.
Heather gave a talk to the congregation of St Mark’s Anglican Church Warwick who donated boxes of material and gave the group a donation which was very much appreciated.
