Competitors took the course for round one of the 2024 Race and Road Southern Downs Road Racing Championships at Morgan Park Raceway near Warwick at the weekend.
Each year the Motorcycle Sportsmen hold a Club Championship known as the Southern Downs Road Race Series. This is a well contested series providing classes for all types of machines and riders.
For the first time this year there was a junior competition.
The next round of the event will be held at Morgan Park on 6-9 June with round three at Queensland Raceway from 20-22 September before action returns to Morgan Park from 31 October to 3 November.
