Allora Medical Centre on track

It’s been a long time coming, but the Allora Medical Centre is on track to be open next month.

CONSTRUCTION work on the new Allora Medical Centre is nearing completion, with 28 October the anticipated opening date.
Allora Pharmacy owner John Constable said construction had progressed “extremely well” and he heaped praise on contractor tradesman C.S. and J.E. Miles.
“They’ve done a great job and we’re expecting the practice to be up and running by 28 October,” he said.
Mr Constable said three permanent doctors had already signed up for once the practice opens.
Among them will be two owners, Doctors Leith Geisel and Kaye Ellis.
Mr Constable said there were also talks with Allora Rotary Club to include the practice in the Allora Christmas Street Parade in December.
“It’s only in the planning stage, but we’re trying to see whether the practice could be included in the Christmas street parade, as an official opening ceremony,” Mr Constable said.
