Break-in spree

Police briefs

WARWICK police are warning people to lock up after a spate of break and enters in the city over the last month.
Senior Sergeant Stewart Day said the United Service station in Helene Street was broken into twice over the weekend,
Robberies also occurred at a residence on Old Stanthorpe Rd, Morgan Park and at the Endeavour Foundation shop at the Morgan Park dump.
“We’re urging all people and businesses to make sure their premises are secured,” Snr Sgt Day said.
“It might be worthwhile investing in closed-circuit TV.
“If they want a business security audit, they are free, and they can contact the Warwick police and we’ll have someone come out to give them some tips on improving their security.”
Snr Sgt Day said graffiti – the word “lost” – was sprayed over a number of premises and fences in the King Street last Thursday.
“If anyone saw anyone acting suspiciously we can they either call us or CrimeStoppers,” he said.

Take care in wet
POLICE said a number of traffic crashes occurred around Warwick over the weekend and all involved P-plate holders.
“We’re urging all young people to make sure they’re driving to the conditions,” Snr Sgt Day said.
It appears they were not used to the wet conditions, he said.
“A number of people have been charged with driving without due care and attention.”
