THOSE wanting to enter ceramics and pottery sections of the Stanthorpe Show are reminded their works must be at the Exhibition Centre at the showgrounds by noon on Tuesday, 28 January.
Pottery and clay sculptures will be displayed alongside the Fine Arts in the main Exhibition Hall during the show on Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February.
Pottery section steward Phillipa Hambleton urged children to enter.
“Kids, in particular, are encouraged to enter pieces from the last Spring Children’s Workshop or from their work during the year,” she said.
“Thanks to our generous sponsors, the pottery section of the show has some great prizes this year.“
The Youth Encouragement Award has been expanded to include a block of clay, modelling tools and a transferable voucher to the 2014 Spring Children’s Workshop, held annually by the Stanthorpe Pottery Club.
There are prizes for each section, with the grand prize of $100 cash and a ribbon going to the most outstanding exhibit in the open section.
