Southern Cross Bowls
OUR Turkey Triples was played last Wednesday with three teams on 20 points. On a countback, D. Lang’s team won while the runners-up were N. Farmer’s team. Results: R. Bone, G. Murphy, P. Wagner d M. Last Thursday one game of championship singles was played with B. Cross defeating D. Wheeler 25-21 in another very close game. Social results: L. Marriott, B. Donovon, C. Hope d C. Wickham, L. Heywood, Y. Reid 15-9. Social bowls today 22 May at 1pm.
This Saturday 24 May, Roddies Fish and Chips will sponsor the day. Rodney would like to see as many members and social players as possible on the green which promises to be a very good afternoon. There will be a barbecue following the game so come along and join in the fun. Names in by 1pm please for a 1.30pm start.

Warwick East Bowls
LAST Saturday our club had one game of triples played. Results: D. Arreki, E. Diery, P. Dillpesman d G. Shelley, N. Hassum, G. Carson 17-14 as well members visited Inglewood for their carnival over this weekend.
Next saturday social bowls only with names by 12.30pm to play at 1pm. This afternoon is open to all bowlers, men and women to join for a game, visitors most welcome. On Saturday 31 May, note the date change, the club selected pairs will commence with draw to take place from 12.30pm with play to start 1pm. The following players to attend: B. Gibson, G. Shelley, D. Meneely, N. Wickham, P. Dipplesman, E. Diery, Grumpy, N. Farmer, R. Philps, V. Nelson, N. Madsen, C. Lawler, T. Spence, M. Balfour, M. Dodson, N. Hassum. If by chance members are not available please advise the club ASAP.

Warwick Bowls
THE jackpot three-bowl pairs last Wednesday again attracted a full green. No-one had the winning score of -36 so the prize will jackpot to $130 for the next jackpot day on 11 June. The winners of the chooks were Doug and Bev Christensen.

The semi-finals of the self-selected pairs were played last Saturday with Michael O’Leary and Peter Collis having a win over Max Holder and Ian Campbell after gaining an early lead and maintaining it throughout the game to win 21-15.
In the other game Brian Black and Doug Warr lost a six on the fourth end against Peter Gynther and Barry Johnstone to be in early trouble but gain two fours on the seventh and eighth end to lead 12-9. However they lost 11 ends straight to ultimately go down 27-13.
Two social games were also played on Saturday and resulted: G. Creighton, T. Wright 10 d K. Gimm, J. Ruhle 10; I. Fordyce, D. Neal, W. Tucker 23 d R. Valentine, R. Smith, E. Welsh 16.
Sunday will be social bowls for trophies provided by Warwick Friendly Societies Pharmacy when again men, ladies and visitors are welcome for club-selected triples.
Names are required by 12.30pm for play to commence at 1pm.
Nominations have been called for self-selected triples and will close on Saturday, June 6 with the call-up to commence as soon as possible.
