BOWLS
Warwick East
OUR two-day carnival is over for this year and we were disappointed with a lack of support from clubs within our district not attending. Even so, the carnival was successful and again our thanks to our sponsors and the teams that attended.
On Saturday one game of triples was played with the team of E. Diery, G. Shelley, N. Hassum defeating N. Wickham, Grumpy, B. Ellery 25-14. This game started at 3pm and was much cooler for all. We will continue with this starting time until weather cools down.
Next Thursday 27 November is our final Red Rooster day for this year and would like to see a good roll-up of players, so skips please ensure your team is available. This is an open mixed day, as all events conducted by our club are and have been for quite some time.
Thursday 4 December will be our final, for this year, of our open mixed triples. Names by 12.30pm with play to begin 1pm. With that being said, on behalf of Warwick East we would like to wish all bowlers everywhere a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year – a bit early but well meant.
