Jumpers and Jazz: What’s on this week

THIS week at the festival:
YARN BOMBED TREE JUMPER EXHIBITION:
Daily. More than 100 trees are artistically dressed with traditional textiles such as knitting, crochet, felting and weaving or inventive installations using recyclables.
FABRICation EXHIBITION FEATURING THE WOOLLOW TREE:
Daily. Spreading its colourful branches over the Warwick Art Gallery courtyard, the unique Woollow Tree is a celebration of the Southern Downs seasons. Designed and created by the team who brought you the Knitchen, around 100 knitters and crocheters have combined their talents to create the festival’s largest ever tree jumper. Home to wonderfully whimsical wildlife of all kinds, it is a yarn installation sure to make you smile.
THREAD IS MY CONNECTION WITH OTHER WORLD’S EXHIBITION
Warwick Art Gallery 10am – 4pm daily. This exhibition by textile installation artist Dorothy Haig is an artistic adventure and a trip down memory lane.
DOWNTOWN LOUNGE
Until – Friday 24 July 10am – 2pm. Catch up with jazz pianists, solo vocalists and talented students at our pop up jazz lounge in front of Warwick Town Hall.
WARWICK CREDIT UNION SATURDAY STROLL N SWING
Saturday 25 July 9.30am – 3.30pm. Browse the much-loved Suitcase Rummage market, experience the Sheep Shack and Regional Harvest display with plenty of jazz and street performances to keep the festival swinging.
ERGON ENERGY PICNIC IN THE PARK
Sunday 26 July 9am – 3pm. Warwick Potter’s craft markets, live jazz, food and award wining local wine plus kid’s entertainment make this an outdoor winter day to remember. Bring your picnic blanket and chairs and sit back and enjoy.
