ALLORA State School will be putting on a car boot sale next month and wants the Southern Downs community to hop on board.
The Allora State School P&C Association will be organising the sale, to be held on Sunday 15 November.
They are encouraging residents to have a spring clean of their cupboards, wardrobes and sheds and turn their unwanted goods into some additional dollars in the lead-up to Christmas.
Car boot sale co-ordinator Andrew Dunn said the inaugural event was part of the Allora State School’s efforts to build a covered area for the kids.
“The P&C is committed to providing a tiered, landscaped covered area for the students to congregate in hot or wet weather. This is an ongoing commitment and proceeds from the Allora Car Boot Sale will go towards this,” he said.
The car boot sale will be held on the school’s soccer ground located at the corner of Darling and Raff Streets from 9am to noon on the day. Sites will be available from $20 per car.
