Premier throw through to finals

Darts players from all over southern Queensland headed to Warwick at the weekend.

PREMIER Darts hosted the Intercities tournament at St Mary’s Hall, Warwick, at the weekend and has successfully moved through to the event’s finals.
There were 10 teams attending from all over south-east Queensland.
Despite the cold weather, some great darts matches were displayed.
The Premier men’s team played very well, winning six out of eight games to finish as runner up behind the Toowoomba team.
Ioane Coolwell managed to score a 180 as well.
Because of this the team will advance to the Intercities finals in September.
The Premier ladies’ team also excelled, winning seven out of nine games which means that it will also progress to the Intercities finals.
Organisers have extended a big thanks to all the volunteers who helped out over the weekend.
Also in the Thursday competition, the Young Ones gave KFC a whitewash, winning 9-0, Kyle Broderick being best player with four pegs five tons.
Just Us continues its unbeaten run, beating Don’t Know by 6-3, Warren Young being best player with five pegs and eight tons.
