Festival manifests in new location

There is a big line-up of acts planned for Manifest.

THE Manifest festival has a new home in the lush surrounds of Elbow Valley in south-east Queensland.
After taking a year off in 2015, the fifth event will return from 23-25 September in the lush surrounds of Cherrabah Resort.
Co-director Renan Inal said organisers were also pleased to announce that approval for a temporary entertainment event has been granted by Warwick Shire Council.
“Our communications with Warwick Shire Council have been positive and we are very happy to be working with the local community to bring Manifest 2016 to Cherrabah Resort,” co-director Renan Inal said.
“With international, interstate and local live performers, plus a massive arts and lifestyle program, market stalls and delicious food, revegetation initiatives and partnerships with leading national training organisations like TAFE, our focus is on bringing something truly world class to Warwick shire.”
Mr Inal said that the event would feature performers travelling from overseas and interstate, alongside the best of Queensland’s music scene.
Acts already announced include Ed Solo (UK), Blockhead (USA), DJ Total Eclipse (USA), Jamie McDowell and Tom Thum (Sydney/Brisbane), Mantra featuring DJ Flagrant (Melbourne), Astronomy Class (Sydney), Royalston (Sydney), Spacey Koala (Canada), TRIBONE (Israel), Sketch The Rhyme (Sydney), Hypnotech (USA), Cheshire (Melbourne), JPSxHooves (Melbourne), Griff (Melbourne), One Tasty Morsel (Cairns), Smilk (Melbourne), Penumbra (Sydney), Dusty Fungus (Melbourne), Emetic (Sydney), Altruism (Melbourne), Jay Berry, Butterz, Doe, The Brains Trust, Franky Smart Band, Toyo and Omegachild.
More artists, alongside performers, lifestyle programs, workshops and other initiatives will be announced soon.
“We don’t think Warwick shire would have ever seen this calibre of musical talent before,” Mr Inal said.
“According to a council report, our last event in 2014 pumped $47,000 into the local community and the Warwick Redbacks made just shy of $5000 selling food and drinks at the event.
“Manifest will provide an economic boost to the region and help promote tourism.
“Our focus is to create a safe, creative and positive event that engages and supports the local community.
“We look forward to September and welcome any questions residents may have about our event.”
Manifest is at Cherrabah Resort in Elbow Valley from 23-25 September.
