Rodeo Queens ride in

Rodeo royalty on their way to Warwick next month.

THE Carlton Dry Warwick Rodeo National Finals and Pryde’s EasiFeed Warwick Gold Cup will once again host the international Rodeo Queens.
Miss Rodeo America 2016 Katherine Merck from Washington state will join Miss Rodeo Canada 2016, Samantha Stokes of Alberta and Miss Rodeo Australia 2016 Katy Scott from Cloncurry at the Warwick Rodeo and Gold Cup Campdraft in October.
The trio will be hosted by the newly crowned Warwick Rodeo Queen who will accept her title on 15 October before the whirlwind tour commences.
“We are excited to team up with the Miss Rodeo America, Miss Rodeo Canada and Miss Rodeo Australia organisations again this year after a successful tour in 2015,” Warwick Show and Rodeo Society secretary Julie Peterson said.
“It is a great coup to have official ambassadors of the sport of rodeo from across the world come to Warwick and take part in our National Finals Rodeo.
“The ladies will be attending various destinations across south-east Queensland from 20 October to promote the Warwick Rodeo National Finals and take in the spectacular sites that Australia has to offer.
“They will be starting at Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast through Brisbane and the Gold Coast before heading inland to Toowoomba and Stanthorpe to visit with our valued sponsors and to get a taste of the Australian country lifestyle.
“Finally, ending in Warwick for Australia’s Most Famous Rodeo and Gold Cup Campdraft from 26 October for an official welcome to Australia and Warwick and to participate in the National Finals Rodeo,” she said.
