THE Cunningham Highway on the eastern side of the Gap is currently closed in both directions after a serious crash between a truck and a car.
Emergency crews are on scene and paramedics have been attending to a man believed to be the driver of the car who has leg and facial injuries. He has been flown to hospital in Brisbane by Lifeflight.
The highway is expected to remain closed indefinitely so motorists are asked to delay travel on the highway over the Gap where possible.
