Festival launch full of musical delights

Three in a Low Key and Elegance Jazz are special guest artists for the Jumpers and Jazz Festival Launch Party on Friday, July 22, at Warwick Art Gallery starting at 6pm.
Antonia Breen, Victoria Luppi and Sarah Collyer are Three in a Low Key and they will bring alive the music of old time and contemporary artists, the likes of which include Ella Fitzgerald, Astrud Gilberto, Billie Holiday, Michael Buble, Sting, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and Julie London.
Three in a Low Key present a rich blend of contrasting music styles. Listeners can enjoy a selection of romantic ballads, up-tempo swing, Latin inspired grooves and fine gospel melodies all complemented by the quintessential Jazz Trio of Double Bass, Piano and Drums.
Three in a Low Key and Elegance Jazz are delighted to be part of Warwick’s wonderful Jumpers and Jazz in July.
During the launch party, festival organisers will announce the winners of the tree jumper exhibition for 2011 as decided by guest judge Prudence Mapstone.
All tree jumper artists receive free tickets to the launch party to show organisers’ appreciation of their creativity and participation. Tickets are also available for members of the public prior to the party, for $10.
Three in a Low Key and Elegance Jazz will also feature at the first Jazz at the Gallery event on Saturday, July 23, from 10am to 3pm.
In addition to live music, visitors will be able to watch chalk artist Rudy Kistler at work and enjoy the exhibitions at the gallery.
Mini Art Workshops will also be available to learn interesting new textile techniques.
