Scouts from Stanthorpe, Clifton and Warwick took part in abseiling off the Warwick Town Hall on Saturday, February 9.
A total of 40 people of all ages made the descent over the main balcony and down to the footpath.Cr Jo McNally of the Southern Downs Regional Council abseiled to provide her support, which was very welcome.
Other notable events were a donation to the Glennie Heights group from RPMS engineers represented
by Adam Colrain. A new Rover scout Mel Wallis was also invested while at the mid-point, including the handover of badges from Crew Leader Michael See.Special thanks went to Eugene Thompson and the entire Regional Abseiling crew for making the event a success.
Scouts provides opportunities for personal growth and challenge for youth members from six years to 26 years and for adults of all ages. Scout groups are in Clifton, Warwick (Glennie Heights), Killarney and Stanthorpe, within our immediate area.
