Costs cutting?

THE Southern Free Times has fallen victim to cost cutting measures announced by the Tenterfield Shire Council.
Without notice to the Free Times, Council dropped block advertising in the newspaper.
Council’s general manager Lotta Jackson outlined severe cost-cutting measures in the 2013/14 Operational Plan and Budget as the reason.
Tenterfield Shire Council has instead opted to advertise with a rival publication.
The people of Tenterfield will be left to determine whether Council has made the right decision.
Anyone wanting to provide comment on this matter should contact both the council (02) 6736 6000) and/or the Free Times Editor Jonathon Howard (0447 300 258).
