Too much government

Re: SFT, Thursday, August 11,  ‘Let the State Government run the shire’.
I couldn’t agree more with the comments made in the letters to the editor last week. Local governments have become obsolete, far too many expensive projects taken on by local government are costing the ratepayers dearly and cannot continue at this rate.
There are far too many levels of government, (we are over governed) and this double costing is excessive in these economic times.  The community/ratepayers cannot afford three levels of government, this is luxury, at best.  Local government will have to go so the community can move forward.
