Club stalwart Tyhe Clarkson has taken out the Steve Gray Medal for player of the year at the Warwick Redbacks Australian Football Club presentation night at the Warwick Clubhouse on Friday night.

Clarkson was a popular winner taking out the coveted Steve Gray medal as well as the Colin Pope Player’s Player Award.

Runner up to Clarkson in the Steve Gray medal was another club favourite Andrew Bardsley who was also named the Most Consistent Player and Best Backman.

Shane Isle was the leading goal kicker during season 2022.

Corey Buhagiar was named Rookie of the Year and another youngster James Fern the Most Improved player in the club.

The coaches award went to the consistent Connor Lloyd.

Two of the most prestigious club awards, the President’s award and the Club Volunteer’s Award were won by Jake Presnell and Diana Donovan respectively.

Thanks must go the MC for the evening Darryl Brooks, Clarkey for coordinating and organising the night.

Players and supporters enjoyed looking back over season 2022. The future is looking bright for the 2023 season.
