Milder weather after heat

MILDER weather should greet locals for the Australia Day weekend, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
A ridge will develop on Thursday, pushing milder southeast winds over the state’s southeast.
The cooler conditions will be welcomed after district temperatures topped 40 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
Texas recorded 40.2 degree Celsius at 3pm Tuesday, while Goondiwindi reached 42.1 degrees.
It was slightly milder in Warwick (38 degrees and Stanthorpe (35.5).and Tenterfield (35 degrees)
The bureau said the weather should have eased overnight Wednesday with night temperatures falling to 20 degrees to 25 degrees and daytime temperatures reaching 33 degrees; to 39 degrees; ahead of the southeast change.
Friday and Saturday’s maximums should be between 29 degrees and 34 degrees Celsius.
