Accident witness plea

A TRAFFIC accident that occurred west of Warwick on Friday, 30 August, has reportedly resulted in a traffic sign operator losing one of his legs.
According to police, reports the Jimboomba man was operating a stop-go sign at the Cunningham Highway and Lyndhurst Lane intersection, as road works were being carried out.
The sign operator had allegedly stopped a passenger vehicle heading outbound from Warwick at about 12.30pm.
Moments later a small truck slammed into the rear of the stopped passenger vehicle and forced the car forward, crushing the sign operator.
The man was later rushed to Toowoomba Hospital where it is believed one of his legs had to be amputated and he is fighting to keep his other leg.
A police investigation has been launched to determine the cause.
